For the 30th consecutive year, Les Francos de Montréal (formerly FrancoFolies) will be held at the Quartier des spectacles June 8 to 17. Every year, this very popular music festival presents a wide range of free outdoor shows and paying indoor concerts featuring some of the world’s biggest stars from the Francophone world, including Québec, France, Belgium and beyond. Montreal International Jazz Festival
Renowned as the world’s biggest jazz fest, the Montreal International Jazz Festival has embodied passion for music for nearly 40 years. With over 500 indoor and outdoor concerts featuring 3,000 musicians from 30 countries, it’s where fans of everything jazz-related want to be every summer! This year will feature much-anticipated performances by Seal, Ben Harper, The Brooks, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Holly Cole. The festival will be held from June 28 to July 7. montrealjazzfest.com
Zoofest’s 7th edition, July 5 to 28, will be held in 15 venues throughout the Quartier des spectacles. Featuring biting, unexpected and emerging comedy, underground theatre, zany improv and undefinable shows, Zoofest sets the stage for those interested in discovering hidden talent and new sides to renowned performers, all in informal and intimate formats. This summer will feature the much-anticipated La Table d’Hôte, starring Les Grandes Crues, Arnaud Soly, Alexandre Bisaillon and Philippe-Audrey Larrue Saint-Jacques, which is shaping up to take audiences far off the beaten path. zoofest.com
Since its inaugural edition in 2006, Osheaga’s reputation has consistently grown year after year. This August 3-5, big names like Travis Scott, Arctic Monkeys, Florence + The Machine, Khalid and James Blake will rock Parc Jean-Drapeau. In addition to concerts, this festival will feature exhibits by emerging and renowned artists, activities to get you moving or wind you down, as well as a wide range of food and drink kiosks.
