Holiday Shopping in Downtown Montréal
This early December, holiday shopping is in full swing! It’s no secret that downtown Montréal, where the ESTWEST project is taking shape, features plenty of places to find the perfect gifts for your loved ones. All you have to do is follow our guide, which features our best recommendations so you can enjoy a fun and productive shopping experience around the complex.
Salon des métiers d’art
Just a few minutes from the real estate project, in Place Bonaventure, the Salon des métiers d’art has been a must-see event for the past 60 years. Showcasing over 400 exhibitors from all over the province and even outside Canada, it’s THE place to discover unique products. Besides giving original gifts to those you love, you’ll help support the talent and depth of our homegrown artists. The Salon is open from Thursday, December 7 to Sunday, December 17, 2017, and admission is free!
Any shopping spree in downtown Montréal wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Sainte-Catherine Street, the city’s busiest commercial strip. In fact, it’s Canada’s biggest hub of fashion and ready-to-wear boutiques. Boasting several multi-story shopping centres, along with hit stores among avid shoppers and deal hunters, this street features many attractions, especially during the holiday season! Its location along the metro’s green line makes it easily accessible. You could even stop by and visit Santa Claus to further liven up your shopping marathon. The kids will love it!
Looking to avoid typical department stores and shopping centres when hunting for gifts? Don’t worry! The downtown area is full of unique speciality boutiques. Examples include Boutique 1961, featuring an impressive selection of very feminine clothing, renowned luxury beauty shop Etiket, and Icebreaker, with its premium products for outdoorsy types. There’s something for everyone!
Merry Christmas shopping one and all!
